Working The Crowd

I agree with this statement. Being a first year teacher can be very difficult due to the fact that they want their students to like them instead of showing the students they meant business. If teachers mean business from the very start there should be no reason for the students not to listen.

" You're doing great so far, now try the next time step, keep up the great work"

In my site school there are 3 round tables that are stuck to the ground with 4 computers on each so the only future i would be able to move is the middle table but it is big so I would have to keep it where it is at. For my desk i would put in a corner so I would be able to see all the students without having to turn all different direction.

It all Starts With a Plan

Encouraging Students to Take ActionWhat are the benefits of students researching their own topic? The benefits are most of the students will be more involved in what they are researching. They will apply themselves more and but more thought process into something they care bout instead of something the teacher is forcing them to do.

Skills I Possess

I lack in Self-Management in the classroom for sure. I am not a very organized person which effects me in majorly in the class room. But I can do some things to fix that issue. I can write down a set schedule and make sure I put every paper in the right place. Communication is something I feel like I am good at, I explain every lesson in detail and make sure every student understands it. Self Directed is something also I feel I am good at, I take things on without being asked and complete it without any issue. And the last thing I feel I am good at Social-Awareness & Perspective-Taking, I can feel for my students and even other people and understand what they are going through.

Students being absent seems to be one of the biggest issues that teachers have to deal with. Students being gone causes for them to get behind and that leads to them failing classes or having bad grade. Teachers can also help the students by being the class like home and getting to know the students. They can also help by always showing up to class with a smile on their face.
We think that some students don't show up because they just don't want to but come to find out some don't come because they make bad grades and try to avoid, some kids get bullied and also some have a mental  health you don't know about yet.

Teacher Created Material

Since I was unable to attend the competition this past weekend because I was taking my SAT. I am doing a teacher created material to make up for that that involves learning to stitch up wounded animals since am in Vet Med class for my internship.
Step 1: Clean the wound make sure the bleeding is stopped or to a minimum
Step 2: Start stitching, make a knot by the needle with the thread, go through the skin tie two knots than cut the thread and repeat until the wound is completely stitched up.

My First Week as an 2nd Year Intern

My first week in my site was amazing, I've already learned so much and am so lucky to be able to intern for a BCTAL Ag. class more specifically Veterinary Medical Applications with Mrs. Lopez. So far in the classroom I've already taught my first lesson over communication.

Rules are important in a classroom because it creates stability and respect for others. If they do not follow them it starts off with a warning, a note/phone call home, and if that doesn't work I will send them to the office.

Book Trailer

Final Exam - Book Trailer over The Smartest Kids in the World, by Amanda Ripley.

Monday, May 9, 2016

Lately in class we have been reading "The Smartest Kids in The World" by Amanda Ripley. I was told to talk about who I most relate to in the book but honestly I don't think i relate to anyone in there. I understand that we should learn about different cutlers but this isn't that interesting specially being told that America is low on the list on education ranking because of our different lifestyles and how we don't spend every waking minute on education because we do have other priorities. Yes we have distractions but we also do have other things like supporting our family and yes kids here do have to work to help their families with bills and etc.
