Creativity Counts

Creativity is something you can not define, it is different for every single person due to the fact that everyone is different. Creativity matters a lot in education because everyone learns differently and has something different they have to do to learn. I was told this story about how in the 1930's a girl could not sit still and the teacher called a meeting with the mom. Well the teacher turned on the radio and took the mom in the hall way and they watch the girl, she was moving to the music, she was a dancer. The teacher then told the mom to put her in dance class, the girl is now a millionaire and has her own dance studio. There are different types of learning styles. Schools have transition over the years, nowadays the students are more focused on what grade they make instead of actually learning the material. Some of that is the students problem because they don't focus like they should, but also the teachers fault because they have allowed the students to misbehave.

Built for Learning

As an intern I have watched students get so frustrated, that they break down. I know how we can fix that. As teachers we should be able to adapt each year to the learning abilities of our students. By this I mean rearrange the classroom according to their abilities. If I had my own classroom I would want my desk in groups by the students education level but I would only have four or five in the group. I would want to have lamps or Christmas lights of some sort to have a little light and turn off the big lights I think the little kids will enjoy that better . Also I would have a couple of single desk to be able to help the kids individually. Considering the length of school hours I believe about four-five minutes would be the perfect amount of time in each period. Why? Well because you would still be able to teach a lesson without your students acting a fool because they've been sitting in one place for to long.

The activity ill be doing for my class to be learning this is called Sensory Art.
You will need construction paper, glue, sand, and craft sticks.

My first day as an intern

My First Day as an Inter:

I was placed at North Ridge Elementary in a kindergarten class with Mrs. Briggs. She has been teaching for about fifteen years I believe. While I was there we worked on math, counting and we read and sang songs about the color green. This year I am looking forward to learning different teaching styles and how each kid learns differently.

What Would I Do?

A girl missed the bus due to leaving campus for lunch and her boyfriend to took her to the site school and when the girl got on the bus to go back to her school she asked other students not to tell the teacher because it wasn't a big deal.

If I was her I wouldn't have gone off campus to eat because I could have brought my lunch or eaten in the lunch room at school. But if I did miss the bus I would have gone to the library and did the work my teacher left for me and texted and or called my field site teacher and my teacher that I missed the bus.
