Lately in class we have been reading "The Smartest Kids in The World" by Amanda Ripley. I was told to talk about who I most relate to in the book but honestly I don't think i relate to anyone in there. I understand that we should learn about different cutlers but this isn't that interesting specially being told that America is low on the list on education ranking because of our different lifestyles and how we don't spend every waking minute on education because we do have other priorities. Yes we have distractions but we also do have other things like supporting our family and yes kids here do have to work to help their families with bills and etc.

Philosophy of Education
Monday, February 8, 2016
This past weekend some of the students went to Houston University for a competition. They showed lessons that had made, scrap books, and speeches they wrote.
Some of the results follow:
Impromptu Teaching - 4th overall and National Qualifier
Tiana Whitmore and Taylor M. King
If I had a do-over for this year it would be not being able to be an officer or compete in competitons for TAFE.

Creativity Counts
Creativity is something you can not define, it is different for every single person due to the fact that everyone is different. Creativity matters a lot in education because everyone learns differently and has something different they have to do to learn. I was told this story about how in the 1930's a girl could not sit still and the teacher called a meeting with the mom. Well the teacher turned on the radio and took the mom in the hall way and they watch the girl, she was moving to the music, she was a dancer. The teacher then told the mom to put her in dance class, the girl is now a millionaire and has her own dance studio. There are different types of learning styles. Schools have transition over the years, nowadays the students are more focused on what grade they make instead of actually learning the material. Some of that is the students problem because they don't focus like they should, but also the teachers fault because they have allowed the students to misbehave.
